The Georgia Department of Labor is warning thousands of people who filed for unemployment that their secure information has been breached and emailed to 1,000 people.
The information the DOL sent out to some of its customers contains a spread sheet with names, Social Security numbers, telephone numbers and email addresses of 4,457 customers.
People who received the email and customers whose information was breached are customers of the Georgia Department of Labor’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center on Big Shanty Road in Marietta. Sam Hall, spokesperson for the GADOL said no other counties were affected.
