Police are investigating a report that a man threatened to hurt three St. Marys Middle School students as they walked to school Thursday morning, Camden County School Superintendent Will Hardin said.
The boys told Principal Michael Wooden the man, who they described as a young adult, approached them as they walked between Pines apartments and the school, Hardin’s office said in a release.
Wooden called the St. Marys Police Department, which is investigating the incident with the school’s resource officer, Hardin said.
A fourth student, a female, said she confronted the unknown man, told him to leave the boys alone and told the boys to tell the principal, the release said.
