Ware County High School came into Saturday’s contest in Tucker ranked No. 16 in Georgia, but was stunned by Tucker High School 29-0. Tucker was ranked at No. 20 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Georgia coming into the week.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Tigers were up 14-0 at the half.
Tucker grew its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal.
A 10-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Tigers, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 29.
Tucker went into the matchup giving up only 13.8 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Ware County, who notched a 35-7 victory over Northside in its previous outing.
