Increased spending for teachers, job training, harbor deepening and crime reduction topped Gov. Nathan Deal’s agenda laid out Wednesday in his election-year edition of the State of the State Address.
Locally, the budget includes $2.5 million to equip a new classroom building and truck-driving range at Altamaha Technical College in Brunswick. However, it doesn’t include $16 million for a Camden County campus for a technical college.
“Usually the governor allows for room for legislators to include projects that have priority,” said Rep. Jason Spencer, R-Woodbine.
