Not included on the list of the GOP’s refusal to separate itself from the 1 percent — the ultra wealthy upper class.
The Republicans like to refer to the very rich as the people who give us jobs, but recently they’ve only given us shockingly misbehaving socialites with awful reality televison shows.
Most middle class citizens see the GOP and the upper class as joined at the hip, which might make it painful to throw the Hiltons and their ilk under the bus.
But if the GOP wants to win — or even remain relevant — it must.
