Several report being hit with shotgun pellets at ball field

Several people reported being struck with pellets fired from a shotgun through the woods at the baseball field on Ball Field Road in Hortense Saturday.

Deputies responded to the area in reference to a reckless conduct complaint.

The complainant stated several people at the park had been struck with pellets but no one saw who was shooting the weapon.

In other recent activity:

Deputies responded to the area of the 100 block of Oleander Circle in reference to Burglary. The complainant stated the offender had entered his residence and had taken items from his residence and then left in a red Toyota truck.

Deputies responded to the area of Ball Field Road in reference to Reckless Conduct. The complainant stated several persons at the park had been struck with pellets from a shotgun from someone shooting through the woods. No one was injured and no one saw who was shooting the weapon.

Kenneth Brian Drayton (42) was arrested and charged with DUI and Disorderly Conduct after deputies were called to the area of the 2100 block of Riverside Road to an accident. Drayton had rammed the van driven by the victim after the two became involved in an argument.

Deputies responded to the area of the 3500 block of Blue Jay Road in reference to Criminal Trespass. The complainant stated she and a friend heard a loud crashing noise outside and went to investigate and found the rear window of her vehicle had been broken and a small framed white male running from the scene.

Debbie Graveley (49), Linda Crews (41) and Billy Ray Parker (56) were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct after deputies responded to the area of Janie Circle in reference to a dispute between neighbors.

Deputies responded to Timber lane in reference to Criminal Trespass. The complainant stated several persons had been on his property and he had video of the subjects walking behind his outbuildings after being told not to do so.

Deputies responded to the area of the 500 block of Gibson Circle in reference to Terroristic Threats and Acts. The complainant stated her brother had made threats of physical harm to her.
