Defense attorneys say a coastal Georgia man charged with murder passed a polygraph test in which he denied killing his father and seven others.
Guy Heinze Jr. is scheduled to stand trial Sept. 23 for the 2009 slayings. His lawyers filed a court motion Tuesday asking a judge to let jurors hear results of Heinze’s polygraph test, but only if he’s convicted and the trial moves to a sentencing phase.
If convicted, Heinze faces the death penalty.
