The Three Rivers Regional Library System will soon be based in Jesup.
The regional system will be moving into the former school maintenance building on the soon-to-be-vacated Jesup Elementary School campus, according to Jim Coté, who chairs the regional library board.
Coté received confirmation of the plans from the regional system’s executive director, Linda Kean, early Monday morning and announced the decision at a Wayne County Family Connection meeting later in the morning.
The move was widely expected following a decision last week by Superior Court Judge Roger Lane to deny the regional system’s motion for an injunction against its eviction by the Glynn County Libraries Board of Trustees.
