Deputies intervene in baseball bat attack

Brantley County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to intervene in domestic incident in which a juvenile was threatening bodily harm to her parents this week.

Reports indicate that deputies responded to the area of U.S. Highway 301 north after the complainants stated their daughter was trying to strike them with a bat.

The incident was turned over to the Department of Family and Children’s Services.

In other activity:

Deputies responded to the area of the 7700 block of Ft. Mudge Road in reference to Identity Theft/Financial Transaction Fraud. The complainant stated some individual had obtained their debit card information and had made purchase in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Deputies responded to the area of Patterson Road in reference to Child Abuse. After further investigation it was found the incident was found to have occurred in Wayne County and turned over to the Department of Family and Children’s Services.
